The tree Kid

Premiere in Autumn 2027

This solo performance poetically explores the theme of people perceived as different.
Through the metaphor of the child-tree, it invites us to reflect on how we can embrace our differences.

A project against bullying and all forms of discrimination.
A project about the richness of our differences — a project that speaks of love

“At the school where I studied, there was a child-tree.
His body was covered in branches, cork, and on Fridays, in moss.
Everyone made fun of him, because instead of drinking water,
he would pour the glass over his head.
At recess, no one wanted to play with him.
The child-tree liked to play with the wind.
One day, we went to the swimming pool with the teacher.
Everyone thought the child-tree would sink,
but he swam gracefully.
The teacher asked, ‘Child-tree, where did you learn to swim?’
He answered, ‘I learned to swim… in water.'”
